Giant Contact SL Lite handlebar features a shorter reach (62mm) and drops (100mm) than typical adult bars. The brake levers are designed for smaller hands, with a 35% shorter reach from the drops and 30% shorter from the hoods. The outer hood diameter is 20% smaller, while the lever’s flared shape improves ergonomics.

Hydraulic brakes are tuned for lower levels of grip strength and body weight with a braking curve that’s reduced compared to adult brakes. This results in linear, predictable deceleration and helps prevent slipping in dry or wet conditions.
