Hazard: The fork steerer tube on the bicycles can fracture, posing fall and injury hazards.

Model Description: Momentum Vida E+ bicycles sold in Metallic Red, Pearl White, Metallic Navy, Metallic Green, Indigo, Happy Mint, and Panther.
There is potential for the fork steerer tube on a few of the aforementioned models to fracture and pose a fall and injury hazard to riders.
- Unaffected Forks - Bicycles with serial numbers in which the third character is "E" or "F" are not subject to this recall and require no further action.
- Affected Forks - Bicycles with serial numbers in which the third character is "H", "J", or "K" must have their fork replaced.
- Forks Inspection Required - Bicycles with serial numbers in which the third character is "G" require an addtional visual inspection to determine fork status.
Consumers having bicycles affected by the fork recall, or with forks requiring an additional inspection, should immediately stop riding their Momentum Vida E+ and bring it to an Authorized Giant Bicycle Dealer for a free inspection, and if necessary, free replacement of the front fork. For further information, regarding this product recall;
Incidents/Injuries: Giant Bicycles, Inc. has received four (4) reports of the steerer tube on the bicycle’s front fork fracturing. There have been no reports of any injuries occurring as a result of this occurring.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact Giant Bicycles, Inc.

No, the inspection is free - if you are unsure if your Vida E+ is subject to the Fork Recall, stop riding it and immediately bring it to an Authorized Giant Bicycle Dealer for inspection.
What should I do if I have an affected bicycle?
Stop riding the bicycle immediately and bring it to an Authorized Giant Bicycles Dealer. The fork will be professionally inspected and, if necessary, they will create a Warranty claim for a new fork at no cost to you.
How long will it take to receive a replacement fork?
Once a warranty claim is submitted at your local Authorized Giant Bicycles retailer a replacement fork will be allocated for your claim. Replacement parts typically take 2-4 weeks to ship. Additional time for assembly will be required. Please discuss warranty assembly/replacement with your Authorized Giant Bicycles Dealer directly.
How long do I have to start a warranty claim for this recall?
There is no time limit, but we would strongly recommend that you have an Authorized Giant Bicycles Dealer inspect the bicycle and replace the fork, if necessary, as soon as possible.
Do I need the original receipt or proof of purchase to have the fork replaced?

Can I return my bicycle for a refund?
An authorized Giant retailer will inspect for free and, if necessary, replace the fork with a new fork free of charge. The resolution offered for bicycles affected by this recall is a replacement fork.
